Es gibt nichts, was man nicht lernen kann, beim CAYC sitzt sogar der Ölfilter an einer sehr zugänglichen Stelle
Ich biete mich selbst auch an, dir zu zeigen wie das geht.

Was ich noch nicht ganz verstehe ist der Umstand mit den 5w40 Empfehlungen.
Mein Öl ist ja dünner und mit Diesel versetz. Daher schmiert es nicht mehr so gut und der Verschleiß ist höher.
5w40 hat doch von Natur aus einen höheren Verschleiß. Der scheint aber aufgrund der Dicke des Öls dann geringer zu sein, wenn der Diesel Eintrag dazu kommt. Richtig?

Kurze Antwort: Nö
Du kannst sicherlich noch einige Öle nach VW507.00 probieren, ich würde auf das Ravenol NDT gehen und eventuell Archoil 9100 hinzufügen.
Dann nach 10tkm analysieren.
Auch wenn es nicht der Beratungsthread ist möchte ich die o.g. Empfehlung puschen und das eventuell streichen .

Verschleißwerte sind mit 5W-40 von Natur aus höher....
Die Analyse mit Addinol/Total/Castrol ist ok und die Laufkilometer auch.
Was soll von etwas weniger Verschleiß man gewinnen? Der Motor ist für 5w30 gut gemacht, der geht nicht daran kaputt. Mit 5w40 lebt nicht länger.
Wenn Du mehr weist über die Korrelation Verschleiß<->Lebensdauer so lass uns bitte daran Teil haben und poste die Infos in dem folgenden Thread.

Warum glaubst du betreiben wir den ganzen Aufwand hier? Nur zum Spaß (ja gut irgendwie schon ) oder meinst du nicht genau das ist unser Antrieb? Das Optimum zu finden. Wenn dir 08/15 reicht, kipp rein was der Hersteller vorschreibt und Wechsel wie er vorschreibt. 200tkm wird er schon schaffen...

@Wayne investiert mit der Analysereihe ja Geld und möchte, davon gehe ich aus, das beste rausholen. Wir sind im Oil Club nicht an irgendwelche Freigaben gebunden, sondern suchen das Optimum für seine Maschine. Dass er mit den Verschleißwerten nicht "sterben wird", ist hier jedem klar.
Das ist auch der Unterschied zu anderen Foren, wir schauen über den Tellerrand hinaus. Und dabei ist es egal, ob jemand eine höhere Viskosität empfiehlt oder Alternativen, mit anderen Freigaben, aus der selben Viskositätsklasse vorschlägt. Alle verfolgen das selbe Ziel.
Hauptproblem ist in diesem Fall aber, dass der EA189 durch das Update kastriert wurde.
Ein VW-Diesel stirbt nicht mit 5w-30.
Wenn alle Analysen und Laufkilometer sind so, dann wird nie ein Problem wegen Öl kommen. Dann ist auch egal, ob nun mehr Eisen und Alu in Analyse zu lesen sind.

@BMWE36 Julian nicht böse gemeint (das weißt du aber auch)
Erster Link: wer an sowas glaubt, muss aber auch an das Kraftstoffersparnis von 50% glauben, wenn man von 5w40 auf 5w30 runter geht (ein bisschen übertrieben, aber du weißt was ich meine), so einen Unterschied wird es nie im Leben geben bei 100% gleichen Bedingungen... Aber das ist Glaubensfrage...

Der Fahrer ist 5 Intervalle mit 5W-30 gefahren, dann 4 Intervalle mit Mobil ESP 5W-40. Das 4. Intervall hat er analysieren lassen. Viel aussagekräftiger geht es nicht.
Wir werden ebenfalls eine deutliche Verbesserung sehen, wenn @Wayne das NDT eingefüllt hat.
Vor allem Aluminium wird sinken.

Die Analysen Serie zeigt auch, dass es auch mit NDT keine deutliche Verbesserung gab, was auch logisch ist.

Was soll das? Anderer Motor, andere Probleme. Bei den EA189 wird Aluminium zum größeren Teil von den Kolben kommen.
Meines Erachtens nach gibt es für die EA189 2 (oder 3 ) Wege für bessere Verschleißwerte, nicht jeder ist erlaubt aber aus technischer Sicht:
Gescheiter Datenstand ins STG + 5W-30
Alter (aktueller) Datenstand auf dem STG + 5W-40
Gescheiter Datenstand aufs STG + 5W-40
(Für mich selbst habe ich da schon eine Entscheidung getroffen falls ich mal wieder EA189 fahre)
Das dieser 1,6TDI an den Werten auf dem Intervall nicht vorzeitig stirbt ist glaub klar. Darum geht es bei den Posts nicht.
