Die Analyse ist da: Gulf Competition 5W-40
Das soll das Competition 5W-40 sein?
Das Additivpaket ist absolut Standard und sieht gleich zum Formula G/GX 5W-40 aus.
Auch wenn das Basisöl PAO-Ester ist, so finde ich die Additivierung ziemlich enttäuschend. Zumal es ja auch so teuer wie der 10W-Bruder ist.

Schon schade, hatte das Öl auf der Liste für den nächsten Intervall. Dann wirds eher das 10W.
Man könnte bei diesem Öl mit Engine Oil Treat arbeiten, um das Additivpaket zu erweitern.
Mo ist ja vorhanden, und dazu passt W im bestimmten Verhältnis sehr gut.
Ich habe dieses Öl vor zwei Wochen für meinen 323ti erhalten.
Wir können ja mal mit OpieOils Rücksprache halten, was sie dazu sagen.
Beide Analysen verlinken, und dann anfragen, ob das so richtig ist.
Wo willst Du da ansetzen, die Kanister habe ich nicht vertauscht. Dass Oelcheck was vertauscht hat, kann ich mir ebenfalls nicht vorstellen. Der Rest an Wolfram in der Analyse spricht dafür, dass hier Reste vom 10W-40 oder eventuell 15W-50 enthalten. Eventuell bei den Abfüllanlagen.
Hat halt seine Gründe, dass Aston Martin 10W-40 und 15W-50 fährt.
Klären die das dann mit dem Hersteller ab?

BMWE36, ja, ein Fehler bei der Analyse ist natürlich sehr unwahrscheinlich. Doch es weicht dermaßen ab, dass ich gerne eine Bestätigung hätte.
Es würde ja schon reichen wenn bestätigt wird, dass das 5W-40 kein Wolfram enthält. Sollte jedoch gegenteiliges mitgeteilt werden, gilt es mit OelCheck Kontakt aufzunehmen.
ethanoly, OpieOils ist in der Öl-Thematik sehr aktiv und nicht nur ein normaler Händler. Die geben in Foren auch Beratungen und so.
Zudem sind sie der Händler für die Competition Öle, und ich gehe davon aus, dass sie einen sehr guten Draht zu Gulf UK oder Gulf IE haben.
Ist hier jmd. mit dem britischen Englisch in Schriftform vertraut?
Ich kann dort einmal anfragen. Der Service bei Opie Oils ist wirklich sehr gut. Ich habe bei denen dieses Jahr viel Öl gekauft, vielleicht strengen sie sich an.
Das wäre klasse.
Verlinke die beiden Analysen vom 5W & 10W, und frage einfach mal allgemein, ob die Unterschiede der Additivierung stimmig sind. Dann schauen wir erstmal, was sie von sich aus dazu sagen und ob sie Fragen haben.

Ich hatte das eigentlich unter den Top 3 für den nächsten Ölwechsel beim Scenic gesehen aber so wie die Analyse aussieht, sind es jetzt nur noch zwei.
Das hätte ich so nicht erwartet.

Schade, hätte es als nächstes Öl geplant.
Habe mir das Öl auch bestellt, wenn ich mir die Analyse anschaue, hätte ich besser ein anderes Öl nehmen können. Ich bin mal gespannt, was bei OpieOils rauskommt. Ich wollte das Öl nicht mit Additiven verbessern müssen. Da gibt es bessere Öl zu erheblich günstigen Preisen z. B. Rowe Synth RS 5W-40, Motul usw.
