Ja, du hast völlig Recht. Leider ist es hier kein Topic für die ACEA C3 Variante vorhanden. Aber warum kann man in Deutschland dies gar nicht kaufen?

Ich hatte per Mail nach dem HTHS Wert gefragt. Antwort:
Der HTHS-Wert bei 150°C zum angefragten Castrol EDGE 0W-40 A3/B4 in der aktuellen Formulierung beträgt 3,7 cP.

Sehr schön, keine Änderung zu der Aussage die ich in 2017 erhalten habe.
Der Kundenservice hatte es sogar kommuniziert:
"Das Castrol EDGE 0W-40 A3/B4 mit der aktualisierten Rezeptur wird seit dem
08.11.2016 abgefüllt. In diesem Zuge wurde auch das Additivpaket angepasst,
allerdings bitten wir Sie um Verständnis, dass wir detailliertere Rezepturdaten
grundsätzlich nicht kommunizieren."Der HTHS läge bei 3,7, der NOACK-Wert bei 8,8

Die Frage ist warum hat es die LL01 nicht mehr?
- Weil BMW die Anforderungen verschärft hat?
- Weil Castrol den monetären Aufwand bei dem Öl nicht mehr betreiben will (Zielgruppe schrumpft, weil es auf ältere Motorentechnik abzielt). -
LL01 ist doch mittlerweile etwas veraltet, auf einem neuen öl gebinde steht auch kein API SG Oder SH mehr.

Die LL-01 ist aktuell bei full-SAPS bis SAE40.
BMW hat doch gerade die Anforderungen erhöht, da ist nichts veraltet. -

in meinen E63S W213 würde ich gerne 0W40 von Castrol kippen. Auf deren Seite wird mit "Castrol EDGE Professional A3 0W-40" "empfohlen". Das finde ich als 1 Liter Kanister. Die 5L Kanister die angeboten werden schimpfen sich dann "Castrol EDGE Motorenöl 0W-40 A3/B4 5L" - Kein Professional Schriftzug mehr. Auch gibt es diese nicht "Professional" Teile auch in 1L Verpackungen. Habe leider keine Info auf deren Seite oder so im Netz gefunden, ob ein Unterschied besteht, oder ob da quasi das selbe drin ist. Was meint ihr? Es gibt z.B. einen Anbieter der bietet beides an. Das "Professional" gibts allerdings nur in 1L-Kanistern. Auch ist es günstiger. Ist das irgendwie eine alte Version?

Der Unterschied wird doch in der Produktbeschreibung sehr deutlich.
Einfach mal die technischen Datenblätter abrufen. Daten sind an sich gleich, lediglich eine Freigabe ist nicht identisch und die Beschreibung:“Castrol EDGE Professional ist mikrofiltriert und gemäß höchsten globalen Standards als CO2-neutral zertifiziert. Seine patentierte Fluid TITANIUM Technologie wird unter Druck noch leistungsfähiger und reduziert die Reibung für maximale Motorleistung, wenn sie am meisten gebraucht wird.“
--> Dies ist bei allen PROFESSIONAL-Produkten sie ausgelobte Eigenschaft. Durch die Filtration soll das Öl noch reiner sein und besseren Verschleißschutz bieten (das bestätigt auch der technische Service von Castrol auf Anfrage). -
Dankeschön. Ja das hatte ich schon gesehen. Das Ding ist dass ich auf deren offiziellen Homepage nicht wirklich was dazu gefunden habe. Auch ist es merkwürdig dass man durch die Änderung eines einzigen Zeichens in der url verschiedene Produkte angezeigt bekommt, obwohl das Auto ja das gleiche ist.
Die Daten in den Datenblättern sind ja z.b. genau gleich. Daher könnte es auch nur ein Produkt "Update" gewesen sein... Aber dennoch danke werde mir nen 5L Kanister non professional holen

Zum Beispiel: ein sehr starker Aktivator - Titanfluorid - soll nicht in hoher Konzentration vorliegen. Nicht mehr als 2-3 ppm (für Ti).
Warum dann hier ist so viele TI?

weil hier geht es nicht um einen Aktivator, sondern um liquid Titanium - organische Verbindung.
