Meiner Meinung nach wurde das Öl noch weiter Richtung midSAPS gesteuert.
Weniger ZDDP und Kalzium.

Unterschied ist für mich nicht relevant, da gesamtes Paket wurde %-l weniger beigemischt und zwar in der aktuellen Probe.

wenn ich diese Analyse so sehe CASTROL EDGE Titanium FST 0w-40
ist das Öl doch wirklich ein guter Kandidat der "dünneren" 0w40......dazu mit PAO Anteil und vermutlich konstanter Castrol Qualitätkönnte dann ja für "Umöler" interessant sein, die von Longlife 0/5w30 (504.00 z.B.) kommen und etwas mehr reserve wollen, oder?
was sagt ihr zum Additivpaket? Bringt das Titan wirklich was?

Hast recht! Der Link ist an mir vorbeigegangen... Der HC-Anteil zur Vorgängerversion scheint allerdings "betonter" zu sein. Die neueren Kanister sollen entsprechend beschriftet sein (KLICK).

Das Öl wurde von vollsynthetisch auf teilsynthetisch geändert.
Es reiht sich also unter den Standard 0W-40ern zu einem Castrol-Preis ein.
Wer unbedingt Castrol nutzen möchte, kann dieses Öl gerne verwenden.
Ist aber bis auf das Titanium-Additiv nichts hervorstechendes mehr. -
als "Professional" Version ist es aber recht "fälschungssicher" und zum Beispiel bei motoroel-direkt auch zu einem recht moderaten Preis zu bekommen

Dieses "Professional 0W-40" finde ich auf der Castrol-Seite nicht.
Wird diese Version irgendwo offiziell gelistet?

das hat mir Castrol seinerzeit geschrieben, als ich nach 5w30 (Longlife 504.00/507.00) für meinen 7er GTI gefragt habe:
Das Castrol-Sortiment in Deutschland teilt sich in zwei Bereiche, einerseits das Sortiment für den Einzelhandel, andererseits das für die Fachwerkstätten und Autohäuser. Hier finden Sie das Produkt Castrol EDGE Professional Longlife III 5W-30 Titanium FST. Als Alternative aus dem Einzelhandel stammt das Castrol EDGE 5W-30 LL Titanium FST mit einem erweiterten Freigabeprofil, es ist also über Bau- und Fachmärkte erhältlich. Die Einträge auf unserer Webseite konzentrieren sich auf das Handelsortiment, sie finden aber auch hier ein Produktdatenblatt zum gesuchten EDGE Professional (siehe Anhang).

Dieses Öl unterscheidet sich zum Castrol EDGE 0W-40 A3/B4 hauptsächlich im Vertriebsweg: Bei dem EDGE Professional A3 0W-40 handelt es sich um ein Produkt, welches exclusiv über Fachwerkstätten und Autohäuser vertrieben wird. Das EDGE 0W-40 A3/B4 ist die Alternative aus dem Einzelhandel und ist also z.B. über Bau- und Fachmärkte erhältlich.
Beide angeführten Schmierstoffe basieren auf gleicher Öltechnologie, wie Sie auch den jeweiligen Werten in den technischen Datenblättern entnehmen können, wobei das EDGE Professional 0W-40 zusätzlich mikrofiltriert ist, um auch den höchsten Anforderungen gerecht zu werden.

davon ist auszugehen....HC mit einem Teil PAO
interessant an den Professionals: sie sind eingefärbt und man erkennt sehr gut, ob man "echtes" hat!

Ich werde bald eine Gebrauchtöl-Analyse vom vollsynthetischen Castrol 0W40 FST (also die alte Version) machen.
Wenn das Ergebnis stimmt, werde ich auch die aktuelle Version verwenden, weil bei mir auch das 5W30 FST als HC-Version gut funktioniert hat. -
den Castrol Ölen wird ja im Netz häufig nachgesagt "Verschlammung und Verkokung" zu begünstigen?
was sagt ihr dazu???wirklich ein Problem des Öls, oder eher des Intervalls?

Problem liegt nicht an dem Castrol Öl, sondern an der falschen Verwendung.
