Digitaler Wandel im Strategiefokus
Wechsel im Management der französischen Schmierstoffmarke: Armin Bolch ist der neue Geschäftsführer der Motul Deutschland GmbH.
Am 2. Oktober trat Armin Bolch als neuer Geschäftsführer in die Motul Deutschland GmbH ein. Damit verwaltet er die heimischen Märkte Deutschland und Österreich sowie die 27 Länder, in die Deutschland exportiert – von Skandinavien bis Griechenland. Martin Klein, der den Posten vorher innehatte, ist seit Anfang 2017 als Executive Vice President für die Motul-Region EuroRussia verantwortlich.

Der weltweit agierende Spezialist für Hightech-Schmierstoffe, Motul, stärkt die Basis seines Kerngeschäfts. Mit dem neuen Geschäftsführer Armin Bolch will Motul das neue Jahrhundert der Digitalisierung mit einer klaren Strategie und Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten angehen.
Armin Bolch ist in der Schmierstoffbranche groß geworden – seine bisherigen Berufserfahrungen sprechen für sich selbst: BP ARAL, Mercedes-Benz Schmierstoffe, Lukoil, Petronas. Für Bolch ist die Welt der Schmierstoffe eine „kleine Familie“, ein ziemlich komplexes Geschäftsfeld, branchenintern jedoch mit sehr engen Verbindungen. „Familienbetrieb, das heißt, dass es extrem wichtig ist, die Qualität der Produkte auf höchstem Niveau zu halten. Spitzenqualität ist immer verbunden mit dem Vertrauen in die Marke, was gerade bei einem solch hochentwickelten Thema wie Schmierstoffe äußerst wichtig ist.“
Armin Bolch weiter: „Ich verkaufe Marge. Nur ist die Währung hier Schmierstoff.“ Das heißt, der Motul-Händler profitiere beim Verkauf von der hohen Produktqualität, denn diese sei der beste Vertrauensbeweis. „Die Reputation der Marke hilft bei der Verkaufssteigerung ungemein“, fügt Bolch hinzu und verweist auf die starke Stellung von Motul im Motorsport als Teilnehmer beim MotoGP, der WSBK und als Sponsor der Dakar im nächsten Jahr.
Für einen Experten wie Bolch, der bereits viele Jahre in der Motoröl- und Schmierstoffbranche gearbeitet hat, steht die Qualität eines Produkts selbst im Vordergrund, gleich neben einer klaren Vorstellung von der Zukunftsstrategie. Der neue Geschäftsführer erklärt: „Das Fahrverhalten ändert sich. Immer weniger Kilometer werden gefahren, mit mehr Stop-and-go-Verkehr, kurzen Pausen und mit mehr Staus.“ Bolch ist sich sicher, Motul als „Boutique Brand“ will das neue Zeitalter der Digitalisierung, des Carsharings, des E-Commerce und der Elektroautos mit klaren Lösungen und großer Entschlossenheit meistern.
Motul entwickelt gegenwärtig Unternehmensprojekte mit hohem Potenzial, sowohl vor Ort als auch international: Das Mehr-Wert-Konzept (professionelle Beratung) und MotulEvo (Getriebeöle, Trainings, Spezialmaschinen). „Die Marke ist aktiv und präsent auf den wichtigsten Branchenmessen. Das sind die perfekten Plattformen, um mit den Menschen ins Gespräch zu kommen“, sagt Armin Bolch. „Motul ist nicht der größte Akteur, aber extrem flexibel und schnell mit einem festen Standbein im Zweiradgeschäft. Aber wir müssen den Leuten sagen, dass wir nicht nur ,Motorrad' sind. Wir habe eine große Leidenschaft für den Rennsport auch in anderen Bereichen“, so Armin Bolch. „In den nächsten Jahren werden wir uns stärker auf den Bereich Automotive und industrielle Schmierstoffe fokussieren und dort unsere Produkte weiterentwickeln“, so Bolch. „Wir sind voll motiviert für den Wandel, den wir bei Motul angehen werden“, so der leidenschaftliche Hobbykoch und selbst ernannte Liebhaber des urbanen Lebens und Kommunikationsbotschafter.
