Mit der Einführung einer neuen Reihe von Motorenölen speziell für Hybridfahrzeuge möchte Motul seine Innovationskraft unter Beweis stellen. Sie soll laut Alexander Hornoff, Leiter Technik der Motul Deutschland GmbH, neue Maßstäbe in der Automobilbranche in Bezug auf Nachhaltigkeit und Zukunftsfähigkeit setzen.
Die „Hybrid Range“ umfasst vier vollsynthetische Produkte mit sehr niedrigen Viskositätsgraden, die auf die Anforderungen moderner Hybridmodelle zugeschnitten sind: das „Hybrid 0W8“, das „Hybrid 0W12“, das „Hybrid 0W16“ sowie das „Hybrid 0W20“. Erhältlich sind die neuen Öle seit Mitte August jeweils als 1-, 4-, 20- und 208-Liter-Gebinde.
Speziell mit dem Hybrid 0W8 verfüge man über ein klares Alleinstellungsmerkmal im Aftersales-Markt, so der Hersteller. „Wir sind der erste Schmierstoffhersteller überhaupt, der ein Motorenöl in der äußerst niedrigen Viskosität 0W8 in diesem Bereich vermarktet“, erklärt Hornoff selbstbewusst. Die Öle sollen einen sehr geringen Kraftstoffverbrauch, sehr gute Kaltstarteigenschaften, ein verbessertes Ansprechverhalten bei niedrigen Temperaturen und einen geringen Ölverbrauch ermöglichen.
Während das Hybrid 0W16 den Standard „API Service SN“ erfüllt und für Honda- sowie Toyota-Hybridmodelle empfohlen wird, kommen das Hybrid 0W12 und das Hybrid 0W8 bislang „normfrei“ daher. Auch sie empfiehlt Motul für besagte Fahrzeugmodelle. „Vor Verwendung unbedingt Serviceunterlagen und Empfehlungen des Herstellers beachten!“, lautet hier der eindringliche Rat des Ölanbieters.
