Bin schon gespannt was bei raus kommt. Habe aber ein gutes Gefühl ;)

  • @alex_at

The main goal of polytron FC is that it lubricates and cleans. On my lubricity tester when I use the FC pure, the result is that it sticks to the wear parts and leave also there a very strong anti wear layer. Because it is pure and eventually mixed with fuel the result will be build up during the time. Polytron says that the wear will be reduced with 50% ore more in fuel pumps, injectors..e.t.c and the application will last 100% longer when used on a regular basis.

  • @TDI-2.7

        • Bad Wörishofen -> Basel ca. 350km Autobahn, davon 200km Schweiz 80/100/120 waren 6.9L/100km :saint:

:whistling:  :saint:

what I know from my experience is when I used it for a longer time for our Audi A6, the engine start running smoother during the time I used polytron FC.

Polytron MTC I start using around 250.000km and now the car has driven 377.000km.

In this combination I noticed a better running of the engine. The engine start running "softer".
After a while I did not use the FC. But still I noticed a smooth running without FC. After a while the " softer running effect" was gone.

It is just a kind off feeling what I noticed, it was not measured by the way.

  • @Polytron oil
so what’s the HQ have to say about Ethanol content? Is it there for cleaning or solubility? How does it affect the high pressure pump?

Personally I don’t have more information other than what I’ve got from American forums, presumably TDI owners that recommended to stay away from alcohol in additives. Wether that’s true or not is beyond me, all I can take from that at the moment is that alcohol is the opposite from lubricity .

But I have to say the Additive is interesting, it could accomplish what people are trying to accomplish with 2 stroke oil in Diesel. Interestingly tough the amount of 2 stroke oil is usually used at 200:1

  • No. There formula works without solid particles. So....NO Teflon zddp, moly, tungsten or else. There unique formula sticks to Ferro and no ferro parts and leaves also a stronger layer that is harder than the original material.

    Quote from Polytron

"It does not contain alcohol, it does contain a special accelerant that enhances the combustion, in addition to Polytron lubrications technology like in Polytron MTC and special formulation that helps FC to dissolve carbon deposits."

  • Rebuild engines should be run in.

New cars can be added from the start

I did not make the msds sheet and I do not know in what kind of areas labels are given to certain product's. I have to do it with the information from the producer.

    But for sure...it works!

We have guys here that tune Volkswagen tdi's and start using the FC instead of 2 stroke oil. They are very satisfied with the results.

    Regards

  • why differentiate between rebuilt and new? Pretty sure on a new car the engine hasn't been run in in the factory?

FC instead of 2 stroke oil - sounds like FC is a candidate for me. 2 stroke oil while added on my VW TDI hasn't delivered what everyone repeats, apart from lubricating the high pressure pump which is the reason I used it. Didn't stop injector wear, didn't clean injectors really. Monitored with VCDS.

There are no samples of FC I guess?

  • Til now most of the people use it with engines with some mileage.

Polytron says that with new cars from the beginning you may use it.

But of course it is always good to drive +/_ 500 km, and change the oil and filter. We discussed this matter with a company that rebuilds engines. They suggest to drive with a rebuild 200 km and than drain the oil and replace the filter.

The best way to try Polytron is to use the MTC in your engine/gearbox and the fuel conditioner in the fuel system.

After the use of the fuel conditioner "most" people especially with diesels notice a smoother running after a while. Can take up till 4 fill ups. Smoother running and less diesel smoke is what people mostly experience.
    And it lubricates/cleans the parts.

I can give you a discount for this time of 10% on the 473ml FC.

    1ml FC to 1L fuel.

    maybe this will help

  • Goodmorning,

500km is what they advised voor the cleaning. You may drive it for a longer time. So 1000km is also ok. And due the use of mtc as additive or polytron motor oil the cleaning continues during the use of the product. But the manufacturer says that 500km is actually enough to start using polytron mtc.

In some cases with bad maintenance we noticed that especially with diesel engines a lot of contamination will come lose with the old oil.

Also there is a change that with “clean” oil in combination with MTC the oil becomes dark after a short time. This is not a problem with the polytron mtc, but the cleaning i.c.m with contamination inside the engine causes this.

    Hope this help.

    Regards,

    Kees
