Mobil 1 New Life 0W40 in BMW B58 - 10.000km

  • Hallo zusammen.

    Diskussion hatte bereits hier begonnen:

  • Wear is nice.
But a bigger engine have more oil so you can not compare this engine with the 1.2 .

This is a new engine so the wear is high and it is also normal. The next oil will show almost the real and normal wear.

    Good UOA.

Also thanks for your comment. What do you mean by UOA? In the other thread we were discussing the detoriation of oil quality from SuperSyn to New Life and FS. Supersyn shows in accelerated lifetests only 20-50% of the deposit buildup compared to the New Life used here. I really wonder if that oil would still result in measurably better wear of my engine...if it still were available. Shows that newer is not always better....probably I should look for a PAO based oil after my New Life in storage is used up.
